British boyband The Vamps surprised their fans recently, with not only a new song, but a live acoustic version too. Their latest hit “Another You” dropped on 25th May with very little promotion which made it a delightful surprise to fans of the band. The song was their second featured song with Brazilian DJ Alok, after their hit “All the Lies” that was released in 2019.
The live acoustic version of “Another You'' was released on YouTube this Friday which was another surprise for their fans. The video features the British heartthrobs performing a slowed down version of the song in a pink aesthetic club like studio, which fits the original version of the party anthem. Similarly, this song fits their newly established image that came with their Cherry Blossom album which was released in October last year. Their newly established edgier and more mature sound blends well with their impeccable fashion and represents a whole new era for The Vamps, all of which fans are eager to see live.
It’s not just their fans that are longing to be at a live show once again, as the band’s guitarist James McVey posted on his Instagram page the other day. McVey took to his Twitter, which he later shared on his Instagram story, to assert his annoyance about the fact that government guidelines are allowing the Euro 2020 to happen but due to Covid-19 restrictions, live shows are still considered unsafe. He posted “I love football as much as the next person (it’s coming home), but watching thousands of people in a stadium standing shoulder to shoulder is a f*****g kick in the teeth for us musicians.”

Hopefully shows will be able to resume safely again soon and The Vamps’ dedicated fanbase will finally be able to hear the band sing their everlasting melodic new songs live.
